We really need your help, folks! Our club has lots of behind-the-scenes activities that do not take much time but need to be done reliably in order to keep our club alive and healthy. A few years ago, there were lots of “busy bees” in the club. We have gradually lost some of those great helpers without finding replacements, and now some of our board members are doubling or tripling up on their duties.

We will miss you Kathy Cortez
Kathy Cortez passed away on the evening of New Years 2009. As a long time supporter of the Bluegrass Community she was well respected and in the North County Bluegrass & Folk Club she consistently acted as the “Raffle Queen” at the First Tuesday Bluegrass Meetings Both Kathy and Skip Greany attended and supported both the North County and the SDBS events. You always could count on them to attend the club campouts as well as many other bluegrass events.

The following letter has been received from Robin Adams, wife of Jim Adams who passed away on July 4 2008. Jim is the son of banjo maker Okie Adams. Jim was a colorful person who you would meet carrying a beginners banjo he called a "tanjo" at many of the festivals and bluegrass events.
